Ballot boxes in Oregon and Washington may have been set on fire by an anti-Israel protester, as investigators found a note that said "ALL
DROP BOXES WILL BURN. FREE GAZA," The Post has learned.

Between 3 and 4 a.m. on Monday, fires caused by incendiary devices were discovered in ballot boxes in Vancouver, Wash. and neighboring
Portland, Oregon.

A built-in fire suppressant stopped most of the flames at the Portland location, but hundreds of ballots were destroyed at the drop box at
Fisher's Landing Transit Center in Vancouver.

The FBI is now heading the investigation into the two Monday fires, which are believed to be linked and also connected to a third attempted
arson attack earlier in the month in Vancouver.

Election officials and law enforcement have remained largely mum about their investigation.

They've directed those who used the ballot boxes over the weekend to track their ballots online and to contact the local auditor's office
for replacement ballots if needed.

But according to an election official with knowledge but not authorized to speak on record, a political letter was discovered in a ballot
box at the Vancouver Mall Parking lot location just a few hours after the fires were put out.

According to the source, a white piece of paper folded in half had been deposited in the box.

It is not confirmed if the message came from the suspect involved in the arson fires, but the New York Times reports that all three
incendiary devices themselves had the message "Free Gaza" written on them.

The shopping center drop box is less than 15 minutes by car from the Fisher's Landing Transit Center, where one of the fires occurred.

Investigators said that they found a note that said, "ALL DROP BOXES WILL BURN. FREE GAZA," as the fires occurred sometime between 3 and 4
a.m. on Monday. Portland Police Bureau

"Um, I'm not gonna have a comment on that at this time," Clark County Auditor Greg Kimsey said when asked about the political letter.

The election source tells The Post that county and investigators have not publicly shared information about the investigation over fears it
could keep voters from using the ballot boxes in the remaining days leading up to the election, or inspiring copycat attacks.

The FBI has now taken over the investigation, while there was also a third attempted arson attack earlier in the month in Vancouver.

All elections in Washington and Oregon are vote-by-mail.

The arson attacks come amid a closely-watched congressional race rematch in Washington's 3rd Congressional District between incumbent Rep.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, a Democrat, and Joe Kent, a Republican US Army veteran. The two are polling neck-and-neck in the district.

By Monday evening, the Clark County Auditor announced that election office employees will monitor 24/7 all 22 drop box locations.

Vancouver Police announced additional patrols.

The Portland Police released photos of a suspect vehicle next to the torched Portland ballot box showing a black or dark-colored 2001-04
Volvo S-60.

The back license plate is not legible in the CCTV footage.

2. The Next Step For The Liberal Will Be To Attempt To Discredit Your Source:

If it is Fox or any perceived "right wing" source, they will refuse to believe it. If it is a non-partisan source, they will claim it is
right wing, if it is a left of center source, they will find another lefty source to "prove" you are wrong. They will not discuss the facts
themselves, as they know they have lost. If you must go down this road (there is a high entertainment value), don't allow this diversion.
Go back to the facts.

3. The Limbaugh Defense:

This is one that comes out early and often. Although you know they never listen to Rush Limbaugh and have no idea
what he says, they will drag him out and claim you are a Ditto head. This is another diversionary tactic. It has no relevance and is an
attempt to change the subject. The more desperate they are, the more childish and ridiculous the reference to Limbaugh becomes: Flush,
LimpBag, etc. Ignore this and re-post the facts. DO NOT BE DIVERTED.

4. The Personal Attack:

Another common thread. Also designed to divert the lost argument. NEVER give any hint of personal information. Even
something as innocuous as "I am a chef". They will attempt to engage you and call you a liar to divert attention from the original lost
argument. Ignore this and re-post the facts yet to be refuted.

5. Name Calling:

Still another diversion. If you fail to give them any personal information, they will attempt to draw you out to gain more
insight into your personal side. Then they will return to step 4. Ignore this.

6. The Liberal Bat Signal:

When they find out they are unable to engage you, divert you or goad you into a completely irrelevant topic,
they will send out the Bat Signal. This is where a bunch of Liberals (or often, the same one using several names, i.e., Rudy) post a number
of rapid fire posts congratulating the Liberal on handing you your head on a platter. This tactic often works on even the most logical and
disciplined of us. The urge to rant must be resisted. Your rant will supply them with all the personal insight they need to spew hatred and
personal attacks. The best tactic here is to use the same tactic back at them. Keep in mind, a Liberal will never admit you have a valid
point (Dutch did, once), much less that you won a debate. So, the only reasons to continue a dialog with a liberal after the initial
statement of facts that established your victory are for entertainment and educational purposes. If you refuse to take the bait and demand
the topic remain on the original premise, they will eventually just go away and try to find someone else that will engage them on their
terms.
