town apart, and it has nothing to do with with people who are most
affected. The main problem is their beef with the elected band council.
During the previous protests over land the Six Nations claimed had been
stolen from them, the government eventually worked out a deal that
handed the land over to the band council. Now the Haudenosaunee
Confederacy, which claims to be the traditional form of governance, is
pissed that another level of their own leadership, ended up with the land.
